Chiropractic can help with whiplash pain.  Several studies have confirmed that it seems to be the most effective in the first 3 months.  My research also demonstrates that this is true.  It can also help stiff joints in the neck and to get the low back and SI joints moving again.  Further, many chiropractors are adding a rehabilitative component to their practices.  How do you find a good chiropractor?  Don't go to someone who tries to sell you lifetime of care for you and your family.  Just like any other doctor, you should want a clear, concise answer to what's wrong and how manipulation will help.  If you only get temporary relief and don't see long-term progress over 1-2 months, chiropractic isn't the answer.  While x-rays can help, they usually only need to be done once.

There are some excellent chiropractors out there who can help with neck pain and headaches.  However, there are also some practitioners who give the profession a bad name.  Be very wary of any chiropractor who tries to convince you that without manipulation you will somehow be harmed.

Find a good chiropractor then let your friends know.
